Garmin Bluetooth

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using the Bluetooth hands-free feature with the newer Garmin navigation units. Does it work well?

I don't know about new hands free feature because me 2 year old Garmin had this feature as well and it was okay. Nothing like the hands free you get with the 1.

Yes, that's exactly what I was wondering. Not getting the iDrive, so eventually I'll want to get an aftermarket GPS....I just am not sold on paying $700 for the BMW Assist + Bluetooth. Really wish that Bluetooth functionality was sold separately. Just thinking I could kill two birds with one stone with the Garmin.

It is a pricey option but if you talk at any length in the car you can't live without it. At least I couldn't.

But, the Garmin system is fine and would be a lot cheaper than getting the iDrive and Bluetooth.

Sorry to hijack this thread but warmtoes, is your sound quality with the bluetooth still ok, especially on the freeway? Mrs Wolf is always complaining that she can't hear me very well while driving at higher speeds. I was curious, so I left myself a voicemail at work while driving on Hwy 1 near Boundary and she was right, the quality sucked. I'm wondering if my mic is not up to snuff.
