Yet another wheel fitment question.

Sorry to add to the slough of wheel fitment threads, but I have a quick question regarding a set I was looking at.

My main question was whether I could run an 18x9.5 et35 wheel in the rear. I know it's an extreme, but I'd be willing to run camber plates and aggressively pull my fenders as well. I do have ST coilovers on my car, so it will be lower than stock.

If this wont fit under any circumstance that's fine, they also have an 18x8.5 et45 wheel I could go with but then I'd lose the concave

Cheers!

It's certainly possible and won't require THAT much work if you can dial in some serious camber, a slight stretch and a solid fender roll. It's surely not out of the question but would require more work and adjustment than I would personally be willing to do.

So I would definitely need camber plates? And would I need different control arms as well or would I be good? Sorry for the questions, I just want to make sure I'm fully informed before pulling the trigger.

Well that's good to know, I'd be willing to do all of that cheers b1aze.

Depends on what you're willing to do in other aspects. Some people have shaved their inner fenders and actually cut that material out in stead of rolling them. That gives you a few more mm of clearance.

With some rough calculations using solidworks, 2* of camber should net you about .4" movement inboard of the top of the tire, assuming a 25" diameter tire. This should be a good starting point of what you need to do to make it fit.

Makes sense, I probably will have my fenders shaved a little. But ST's don't really drop that low in the rears, and since these are 18's the biggest problem will probably be the tyres.

Yes, tire width will be the other variable in the equation. It's not always straightforward my friend.

Oh and if you were wondering here are the wheels I'm looking at. They don't come in directional, but I'm trying to get them made directional in a one-off set.

Figured they wouldn't be for most people, but I'm a fan and in the end that's what matters I guess. Thanks again for all the help man.
