polishing leaves haze

Hi guys,
I've asked this question before, but no one seemed to have a definitive answer and I'm pretty darn sure I'm not doing anything wrong

So polishing with like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound seem to clean the surface very well, getting rid of swirls. But after polishing, if you look at polished area under direct sunlight, it's actually worse because polishing leaves hazing due to cutting clearcoat.
Is it normal or did I do something wrong? I wash, Iron Cut, clay, then polish. So I do follow all procedures.. I polish with circular motion with very light pressure.

P.S. Are exhaust tips in 1ers chrome or steel?

Thanks!

As above, you'll most likely need to follow with a finer polish (especially after a compound). Are you polishing via a machine?

Ah, you should look into getting a machine polisher. It makes life so much easier. And also, yes, when you go with a more aggressive polish, it usually requires another go-over with a finer polish to get rid of the haze it creates.
