powder coating or heat resistant spray?
So I have a set of front calipers and I need to paint them after soda blasting.. Will heat resistant spray do the job or is it better off powder coating them? The only concern in powder coating them is that they need to remove the rubber insert that holds the piston and my mechanic told me that it is better off not removing it as buying a new one isn't going to fit as it was when it came out new. Is this true?

I just had my 135 brakes powder coated brembo yellow. Turned out awesome. If you go the powder coating route check out thepowdercoater.com. Mike Golding is an awesome guy and his work speaks for itself. I tore down my calipers myself and got all new pressure seals and dust boots for 58 bucks from zeckheusen. The pistons were in great shape so I just reused them and didn't go the after market route of upgrading the pistons. Waste of money if you don't track the car.
