Do you have other modifications other than the tune?

It all depends, sounds like you're not sure of what you're doing so I recommend reading up on it first on the numerous tuning threads on E90 post before doing anything. But yes you can run 16.5 PSI in the midrange with it tapering down to around 12.5 towards redline on 93 octane US rating or AKI. But you can't run much timing advance in that same curve if running that much boost.

So basically you're options are high boost mild timing or mild boost high timing to make power.

it's not too high, some flash tunes like evosport hit 16.5 psi on pump

i want to hit 16.5 psi from 5000rpm to 6000 what do u think?

Maybe like I said you also don't want to run high timing at the same time. The way most tuners on here are running high boost on pump gas is by running relatively mild timing. Boost is only one part of the equation.

I hit 16.5 PSI on pump gas from about 2500RPM to 5500 RPM with mild timing. IMHO at around 5500 RPM you'll want to start tapering down boost if you want longevity out of your turbo's. So to continue making power above 5500 RPM while tapering down boost you'll add more timing. That's basically the basics of it.

Run map 5 - put the boost threshold at 17....let it do its thing....it doesnt sound like you should be messing with Map 6.

Theoretically... if you know you have 93 octane and the correct supporting mods, and you REALLY want to hit 16.5, I might do something like this:

1500 - 10.5
2000 - 11.0
2500 - 11.5
3000 - 12.5
4000 - 14.0
4500 - 15.0
5000 - 16.0
5500 - 16.5
6000 - 15.0
6500 - 14.0
7000 - 12.0

However, here's a map 6 configuration suggested by Terry:

When doing mapping you need to monitor timing and boost is only one part of the equation. But here is a map that generally works well if your octane allows more than map 2 has to offer and you don't want to use map 5 for whatever reason.

yesterday i tried
5000 16.0
5500 16.0
6000 16.0
6500 15.5
on pump
it pulls Hard, it's faster than map7 with race fuel

That's great! Did you take a log file of AFR, timing and fuel trims? Without that data, you WILL eventually grenade something.
