It's not an "opinion" that they are functionally worse and dramatically more dangerous than properly sized tires.

to comment more on the topic: those wheels are damn heavy. if you're bent on putting those wheels on, the hub replacement linked earlier would be a perfect fit for this kind of project. |

Not really. I would rather see you actually contribute to the question in the OP and help address a question rather than berate members for their individual tastes, but we both know that's not going to happen.
Nevermind: forget I said anything. Please feel free to continue your ranting over subjects you disapprove of. Enjoy. |

Your opinion of diminishing the functionality of the wheel/tire/car is completely incorrect. On summitracing's website, Nitto INVO 255/35 tires are within the range of being used for a 10" wide wheel. If this was as 'dangerous' and 'utterly broken' as you say then Nitto would not recommend this size tire for a 10" width wheel as they would be open to lawsuits from all of the broken cars that used this combination. Edit: Here is the link to where Nitto recommends a 10" width for a 255/35 series tire http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nit-202910/overview/ |

Do I really need to explain how contact patches work again?

A properly fitted 255 series tire is the same, there will be less sidewall movement the wider the wheel. And a 255 on a 10" wide wheel is a properly fitted tire. You came in here saying it was 'dangerously mismatched' and that the tires are not 'properly sized' and you are wrong.
