The scrape marks on the tread are definitely from braking and not accelerating, I can tell by where rubber remnants are left.

Maybe it was due to the sweepers just before and after the final slalom, causing the right rear to loss most of its traction.
I saw a lot of peoples right rear tire coming off the ground and locking up when they broke so im wondering if this was happening to you in some sort during those wide sweeps. doubtful I know but possible!

There were witnesses to the fact that the 335 was tripodding. If the 335 can lift a rear tire, so can a 1er.

Wow.. I dunno if I've ever seen a BMW lift a rear tire. I've seen many front inside tires lifting tho. VWs are famous for lifting a rear tire too.

Stick a true LSD in there, and the clicky noise goes bu-bye.

All BMWs get oil starved too, unless a baffled oilpan is installed. That's a lot quieter click than the brake one though, so I'm sure that's the one you are probably hearing.
i thought that the eLSD was only enabled when in the DTC mode....? it might also be active with all TC on, but i'm pretty sure that when the car's in "all off" mode (with the triangle lit up) there's no electronic keebler elves keeping your car on the road. i know i've had some one-wheel spins with everything off...

your move, larry!

C'est incorrect. The eLSD is active when DSC and DTC is disabled. I'm unable to get one wheel spinning with both off. The eLSD documentation also states it's active when the other two are disabled.

Edit: Found what I was looking for here on top of page 21.
