Update: knocking from front suspension
As an FYI - hear lots of complaints about this
Over last few months I've had knocking sounds coming from the front suspension. Describe it as knock / pinging / pop from binding. Occurs over uneven bumps in road. Not related to steering. Cant replicate when the car is standing still and rocking it. All components are tight. Recently changed out shocks/springs/perches and mount - still there. My solution - changed out the sway bar end links - even though they seemed good had around 50K miles on them. Fixed the problem for me. |

Thanks for the post. I'm getting a kind of popping from the pass side when the front suspension is not evenly loaded from side to side. I was thinking the top strut nut might have loosened up, but this is another thing to check as well...

Just figured I'd update. Tried changing the end links but no soap. Turned out the sway bar bushings themselves were binding on the bar. Got under the car and greased them and that cured it...
