Question about Canadian allocations

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I have a deposit down on a 1M. My CA contacted me a week ago to tell me that I had been confirmed for a December production. Anyone else with a December production? Does anyone know when I will be given a VIN number or some other number to track my production?

I was suppose to get an October production delivery in Nov. And now they tell me I have November production and delivery in December but I doubt it though. Thinking if i should get my deposit back and shop for something else.
Are you guys going to drive it in the winter?

I live in Waterloo and the winter here is seldom severe compared to Edmonton where I came from. I plan on driving it during winter. I guess I will need to try and find some winter tires and rims in the next two months otherwise they may not be available come January when my car arrives.

I bought as opposed to leased, and there's no way it'll be seeing winter for at least a few years.

It's not the snow I care about, it's the f'n SALT!

I hear you on that. I could just keep my 02 330xi as it is not worth anything on trade anyway. That way I have an all wheel drive beater for winter. Then it would even be more exciting driving my 1M in the summer
