clear oil on the hood...
Anyone else live in florida? If so, its 98degrees outside and I have this clear oily junk on my hood, it appears to have come from under the hood. It is on each side, right above the headlights....maybe something melted? I have no clue, wondering if anyone else had this happen.....

If it's on the driver's side, the power steering reservoir has a breather hole in the fill cap, that does expel fluid during sharp cornering. I have done a little bit of power steering fluid spraying during autocrosses. I'm sure mikeo and the rest of the track rats have as well.
If it's in the passenger side... I can't help you. Correction, it might be the halogen fluid. (to those of you who know that joke) |

Agreed. My husband thinks it's leftover cosmoline.

Probably cosmoline alright.
And Larry, as soon as I find out how to open my hood I'm going to check for that seepage caused by hard corning.
