Bloody Rattle!!!!!
After being at the Service Centre twice already, the bloody rattle I'm getting from the rear is back!!! It's really starting to p*ss me off!
However, after much pulling and yanking around the rear seat I think I've isolated it. It's coming from the drivers side rear seat on the side nearest to the door (where the seatbelt lies when it's not used). If I grab the seat at the bottom and move it up and down, and side to side I get a 'knocking' sound and if I keep at it I can usually get it to make the 'squeak' as well. So, armed with this new information, I'm hoping to pay a visit to the dealer today or tomorrow to get it sorted once and for all!!

Well, I have decided to skip on the dealer after I have so far managed to fix it myself. It drove me nuts this morning, and at lunch time I had had enough. When I pulled into the parking garage I had a play around with the back seat again and confirmed for the second time where the sound was coming from. So I gave that spot a couple of really good thumps. I heard a slight 'click', and so far no rattle! Touch wood, I hope this has fixed it permanently.
And the moral of the story? When all else fails, thump your E90.

rattle
i had the same problem..if your rear seats fold down, make sure that they are clicked all the way in. mine drove me nuts for a week and it turned out that the back seat wasn,t fully snapped back into the locked position.

No folding rear seats. And on day 2, still no rattle.

It's not from the seatbelt area (but there is a SIB for that problem). It's definately from the back seat. My service centre filed a Puma case, so who knows. Maybe we will see a SIB for that problem (if enough people have it).
