CPO 1 vert or 2015 mustang vert?

I know most of you will go with the BMW but there the same price.

2015 mustang convertible v6 VS 2013 128i vert premium +tech

I drove a new coupe mustang and its a major improvement to the last car. Its actually for the wife so no V8 or 135 is being looked at.

I had a 2008 135i and loved it but i tuned it and had issues with it.

The 128i vert is a CPO but 30k miles and already a yr old.
We will be keeping this car for a long time.. 3+ years i am guessing.

Why would you buy a V6 Mustang?

My 1st choice is the 4 turbo but you must get premium package in the vert model and that base is $5k more because of that and then i would of course add the performance package and a few other options changing the mustang price from $32k to $40k and its just for a fun weekend play car. I'd rather not spend that much.

The V6 drove well and its my wife's daily driver and she just wants a vert in blue..

Its your wife's car? Have her drive both and let her pick?

Isnt that the obvious solution?

Take the joy of the coyote engine out of the equation and the 1 wins every time. Handling, driving dynamics, fit and finish are light years ahead of the ford. (Caveat this was at the time of purchase comparing a 2013 Mustang GT Track Pack to a 2009 CPO 135i Msport Cabrio)

It's all tradeoffs. The Mustang will be a little faster. The BMW will get a little better gas mileage. Dead stock, it will be pick'em for handling. Modded, it will depend on the mods. The BMW will be a little more space efficient and luxurious. The Mustang will have a better warranty. Styling is just a matter of taste.

I'm going with the people who say let your wife decide. Have her drive both, and maybe she'll have a strong preference.

If I'm going to buy convertible, it's going to be a proper one that was designed from the ground up to not have a roof. S2000, Miata, or Z4. Cars like the E88 and V6 Mustang don't feel right compared to their coupe counterparts or real roadsters.

Smart advice. You could try to convince her to get the one you think is best and then listen to how she would have liked the other one better for the 3 years of owning the car.

To each their own, but I'd never buy a Ford under any circumstances. As for the "E88 not feeling right compared to its coupe counterpart", my wife's 2011 128i M-Sport 6MT convertible feels pretty great. Unless the OP's wife is going to track her convertible, she'll never feel any difference.

I vote ford. New car, new car warranty. The one is a nice car and I'm not giving mine up anytime soon but the new mustang is good looking, the interior is probably equivalent or better than the one, and the performance will probably be better too. I bought my wife an escape ti and we are very happy with it I feel like Ford's quality is very good these days.

Why would anyone come to a BMW forum and whine about the virtues of a Ford Vs those of a BMW?

Nobody cares what you buy. If you don't have the coin to buy a proper BMW, then you deserve to be stuck in a crappy Ford.

Your a tard DSSG..

I have plenty of coin. This is for a weekend fun car. We both have nice new cars. I ask because i have not had a 1 series since 2009. I buy a new car every year and wanted to know what 1 drivers thought or had issues with in the 13 verts..

You are the kind of person who only has internet friends aren't you
I have been an active member on addicts for 6 years. So go back to your hole..

Anyways thanks all for your input. I wish my wife would go drive them but she just wants me to choose. I am going by the BMW dealer today to check out a new CPO they just received.

And this is why people think of BMW owners as douchebags. Get over yourself.

I'd go with the ford if it were my choice between the two. The new mustang is supposed to have a much better interior and it's likely going to be more reliable. This is subjective, but I think 1 series also look weird(er) in convertible format. Both are going to have a bad resale value.

I've owned an E82 and an E88 at the same time. 99% of the time there's no difference in the way car the cars drive. The only time that you know you're in a convertible is on very rough roads, there's a little cowl shake.

Modern convertibles are very good.

PLUS we want 4 seats not a dedicated 2 seater.

Ford V6 Mustang (in any variant) and the word "fun" don't go in the same sentence together. If it were me and those were my two choices (and there was a gun to my head forcing me to choose between ONLY those two), I would get the CPO 128i. And before you go all this:

on me, there are a WHOLE host of other "fun" cars that have a 6 cyl. engines in them that are not BMW that I would buy before a Ford Mustang.

I wasn't saying he was a douchebag for saying he didn't like the mustang.

I was saying he was a douchebag for the "I'm better than you because I can afford a proper BMW" attitude. The whole "if you don't have a lot of money, you don't deserve to drive a BMW" mindset some people have is ridiculous. They aren't Ferrari's.

I cant think of any other 4 seat converts that i have to choose from. The Audi has zero power i drove an A3 and A5.
I use Fun as in the vert sense that's all. She is a 39 yr old women.. just something sporty.

Ohh yeah. That too! Haha

You're right, there really aren't a lot of options. I stick by my original point, drive both and see what she likes.
