black grills lower front end

I recently painted the kidneys on my 1 gloss black using krylon fuzion spraypaint and clearcoat. I'm happy with how they turned turned out, but now I want to paint the lower grills black to match. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm not sure how to remove them from the bumper. Thanks

Simple. Just grab ahold of the grill slats at both ends, pull up while at the same time yanking the bottom portion towards you.

Cool thanks a lot. Hopefully I can do them tomorrow. I think it will make the front end look better and more aggressive.

You're quite welcome.

I've had more than enough practice trying to figure out the look I like best. Between the stock all chrome, painted surrounds with matte slats, and all matte surrounds & slats I can give it lots of looks.

Only option I'm missing is the shadowline version, and that's too shiny.

Post up a pic when you are done with your DIY project.
