heard this not sure if its true
i heard that staggered wheels arent smart since the cars balanced really well...someone told me it feels like a whole new car when both your wheels are 8.5 instead of 7.5 in front and 8.5 in the rear...sorry if its a repost just wanna hear some input

it reduces understeer to have a bigger tire in the front, but the back and the front being the same size has nothing to do with it. I was running 235/265 and had reduced understeer AND better traction.

Actually, a wider rim at front increases the distance between the roll centre and the point where the outer tyre wall deforms in a curve. This means less roll for a given amount of tyre flex. It also recuced the angle between the ground and the roll centre, thus possibly resulting in less roll again.
I'm running stock M-suspension but with lightweight OZ wheels and 8,5" wide rims up front, and it rolls less than expected considering the relatively soft springs... |
