Adaptive Cruise Control

Received a letter from BMWNA explaining that my car does not have Adaptive CC contrary to the published information.

Any one else receive this?

Hmmm - no. I wasn't aware that they had mentioned adaptive cruise control being available - wonder what got that started?

Yesterday. Didn't imagine I was alone but certainly wondered why BMW thought they had misled anyone. All the specs I've seen associate the adaptive version with Premium Package. Some confused purchaser must have complained.

I got the letter, but mine said that I did not have "Dynamic Cruise Control".
Apparently the BMW site had indicated that our cruise control was Dynamic or Adaptive when in reality it's just the dumb version.
Works fine for me.......

I got mine last night - was kinda confused as I have yet to use the CC - active, dynamic, or otherwise - and will have the make due with whatever is on there. Although, they were quick to inform me that the CC on there was really spiffy...

Short answer: keeps your car a certain distance from the vehicle in front of you, e.g., fifty feet, and can be adjusted accordingly. When they speed up, you speed up...

Active Cruise Control uses radar to help keep distance with the car in front of you.

Dynamic Cruise Control is regular cruise control + ability to use brakes when going downhill or around curves.

Regular Cruise Control (what the E82s get) is just standard, run of the mill CC: no brakes used

On the 3 series, that's "Active Cruise Control" - a $2,400 option. Apparently not available on the U.S. 1 series.

Meant that I got the letter that stated the website and documentation was incorrect, and I have the "standard" cruise control.

Standard butt covering procedure by BMWNA.
