Gear indicator
When you've turned off the engine and locked the car does your orange LED next to the gear selector lever stay on? Seems odd that the car is all parked and off and the gear LED is on in P.

The start engine light goes off in about 3 min. ,but the parking light doesn't go off. I think it's suppose to be like that. You've got me thinking. Does everybody else's stay on?

In every e90 I've seen at the dealership, that LED light is on, even when it's been sitting in the showroom for a week and never started. So I assume it's always on. Indoors, it can be bright enough to be a little disconcerting, so I understand your post.
