Help E88 Mtech/style Front bumper options
Hello all,
I am trying to replace my 2012 128i stock bumper. do you have recommendations? i have been looking on eBay and found these 2. please let me know what you think is better. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E81-E82-...53.m1438.l2649 or http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-13-BMW-E8...53.m1438.l2649 |

I'd go with number 2.
Reason #1- While they're both good materials, I'd find polypropylene more suiting for an already flexible body part. ABS is just a bit harder, therefor more brittle. Reason #2- The first one is in Latvia....

I'd say give this one a shot - they are local and it's PP instead of ABS. |

"Glass Fiber Komposite (GFK)- A strong, lightweight and robust material made of milled and cross-woven fibres. Through this proprietary process this material results in excellent flexibility and durability. Our Glass Fibre Komposite products come standard with a double-layered signature gray primer to ensure the preparation process is minimized while providing a superior finish when completed." Generally this material is avoided due to it's lack of flexibility and overall quality. Consider the lack of give it will have if you were to park a bit too close to a curb or parking block. GFK won't sympathize with you and is prone to cracking. Despite what they say, I think you'd regret fiberglass in the long run.
