New Shoes

My rear run craps were really close to the wear bars so I decided to a new set. As usual I could get performance tires and wheels mounted and delivered from Tire Rack cheaper than getting tires alone locally. I went for the ASA-AR1 wheels and the Hankook V12 EVO tires. After I get the wheel tire package I went to the track to make the most out of the run flats. Man the car drifts nicely with bald rear tires. When I went home to change the tires here is what the run craps looked like. My BMW tires always wear more on the inside edge. And the right tire was more worn than the left since I was making a right turn drift.

Here is my new package. I put the tires on and had to go to Singapore on a business trip so have not had a chance to do much driving but they are much smoother. My wife has been driving the car an says she can feel the difference in the ride without the run flats. Once again Tire rack has done me right. Gill was great and contacted me after I placed the order to make sure it was what I wanted.

Please give something more than thumbnails. I think they might look good, but it's hard to tell.

When you get the chance....I would really like to hear more about the ride and handling of the new tires. Are they quiet? They are at the top of my list as RFT replacements.

I installed the package and the next day I was off to Singapore on a business trip. I am still in Singapore. I will let you know how they are after I take a drive on my favorite twisty road. Wife says they are great but she is an ultra conservative driver.

Last time I bought ASA wheels for my Z4 from Tire rack they came with BMW center caps. I sold those wheels with the center caps since I thought I would get BMW center caps with y new wheels, not the case. The center caps from the wheels that came with the car did not fit. I am going to try to get some decals to put over the ASA center caps.
