e85 bluetooth content analyzers and installation kits!

USD 20.00

Item Interest
What you see here is my ethanol content analyzer (ECA) solution. This is 100% compatible with the Fuel-it brand sensor installation kits at a fraction of the cost.

This will allow you to read the data stream from a standard continental flex fuel sensor and view the data in several different ways.

All ECA's feature interlocking connectors, a new 5 volt power supply, are prewired for upgradeability (Bluetooth and the digital display can be added after purchase) and feature upgradeable firmware via USB.

Packages are:

Package A - Standard ECA; $80.00 shipped - my analyzer with a 0-5 volt output lead for use with JB4 (or any other display / ECU that uses a 0-5v input). This will display your ethanol content over pin 15 of the JB4 harness (typically used for meth flow). You can then view your ethanol content via gauge high jacking, over the JB4 mobile app, and it will be logged as well. Includes a full 8 foot 3-wire harness, using OEM style GT150 female connector for the continental sensor (completely weather sealed), loomed in factory style protection, with a interlocking connector on the ECA end. Also includes 5 zip ties to secure the harness.

Package B - Bluetooth enabled ECA; $105.00 shipped - the same analyzer and harness as above, plus the addition of a Bluetooth radio (Android compatible only). This will allow you to view your fuel ethanol content and fuel temperature on your Android smartphone or tablet via free smartphone / tablet app I've written (available at the Google Play store), or any of the above methods. V2 of the app should be available in early 2016, which will include blend calculators and a revised interface. Perfect for MDH, Cobb or JB4 users using meth.

Add on A - digital LED display add on; $30.00 - Add a fully digital red stand alone LED readout. Can be added after the fact, and does not require JB4 or an Android device. This LED display is compatible with either of the above ECAs by simply plugging in the harness and placing it where you'd like. Shipping is free when ordered with package A or B, or $6.90 if ordered separately to the continental US. Perfect for MDH, Cobb or JB4 users using meth.

Add on B - Bluetooth module; $35.00 - For non-bluetooth analyzers shipped 12-10-15 and on. Add a bluetooth module to your non-bluetooth ECA, to upgrade to the bluetooth capability and functionality of Package B. Includes a clear heat shrink tubing and a zip tie to bundle to the ECA. Shipping is $6.90 to the continental US. Perfect for MDH, Cobb or JB4 users using meth.

PM me if you'd like to order or for international shipping rates, and I'll provide paypal info for payment.

Edited with screen shot of my new dedicated app. It's a work in progress, but relays all pertinent info as of today.

More features will be added shortly, including a blend calculator.

ETA on iPhone app availability? I find it will most likely be very hard to be close to exact reading the content on the fuel gauge through the JB4 hijack.

Can you please clarify what we need to install the sensor onto the fuel line? Also interested in iPhone app eta.

Sorry guys, I don't have an Apple developer account. It would be in the far off future. I'm focusing on Android since that's what MHD runs off of and the type of tablet I keep in my car.

To install the actual sensor, you would need one of the fuel-it sensor install kits, or I can make you a one off factory fuel line.

I recommend the fuel-it kit since it would probably be cheaper.

What I'm selling replaces their $129 analyzer that plugs into the sensor, and feeds the data to JB4 (mine would be $35 with harness).

They also don't have a bluetooth version available yet.

If you can get the sensor installed on the car, the analyzer will work.

I believe the N55 uses the same fuel line as the N54, so you should be good. I would cross reference the fuel line on real OEM to see the applicable years.

I'm currently working on a new enhancement that will allow you to read the ethanol content in the dash, negating the need for an external display.

Soooo this isn't applicable to most until fuel-it releases the sensor kits, right?

I thought they had released the sensor kits?

If not, I can make you a factory fuel line with the appropriate connections.

The sensor looks correct, but the fuel line fittings are wrong.

You need 3/8" steel quick disconnect to 5/8 fuel line.

You can cut it yourself, but you need a special tool to insert the fitting into the line. They're compression press fit into the line...

Do I need to be running the fuelit analyzer along with the ethanol sensor or can I just run the ethanol sensor and be compatible with your basic eca?

The basic eca can be read over the jb4 mobile app correct?

Correct - my analyzer is 100% compatible with their sensor kit.

It replaces their $129 jb4 analyzer and does the same thing.

The basic eca will output to jb4 and can be read by jb4 mobile.

Shipped a couple more kits in all flavors (bluetooth, JB4 only, and with the gauge).

Tried out the red gauge - it looks pretty sharp. It's going to look pretty rad behind the buyers vent:

New power supplies are in. Always trying to improve things, I thought I'd give these a try.

These guys produce a rock steady 5 volts flat, with no ripple regardless of input voltage. Perfect for a car where the voltage fluctuates depending on RPM, alternator output, etc.

Should provide much more consistency than the USB power supplies of past. These will insert inline between the sensor harness with a provided y-connector, instead of being powered through the USB port (power through the USB port uses the ECA's on board voltage regulator, which sucked some voltage).

Power supply:

Producing 5 volts with a 12.75 volt input:

Producing 5 volts with a 10.75 volt input:

First digital display shipping out. Ended up using RJ45 connectors for the connection.

Future ones will have a female connector on the ECA side instead of male (doesn't make a difference, just eliminates the cost of the coupler).
