I got 2 Front plate tickets in my old 330, over a period of 2-1/2 years. It all depends on the individual cop. Some cops are just assholes and theres nothing you can do about it.

The fines are pretty stiff after the service fees or whatever they call them , costs over 100 bux a pop with extras. But the 330 just looked so much better without it. The guy who bought it from me hasnt put it on yet either and he hasnt gotten a ticket for it yet.

My 1 came with it on since I bought it at the dealer.

Yea so far no problems without the front plate (knock on wood).

I been seeing more 1's lately around including a sedona on park ave. Saw 2 within 5 minutes black vert on alexander and a black coupe on monroe ave. Such beautiful cars!!

I still think a meet would be cool but I guess well see.

If no meet this year, then definitely in the spring. It would be nice to put names to faces.

BTW, thought I'd toss this out there. I bought the M doorsills and decided not to install them. If anyone here's interested, they're yours for exactly what I paid: $63. I figure local pickup is easiest! Shoot me a PM.

I'm pretty bummed about putting The One away, too, but I'm driving with the top down for as long as I can, butt toasters on high, and heat blasting! She's going in to Holtz for a complete detail prior to her hibernation. I currently have just about 3k miles, but I've had to drive the X3 quite a bit during the summer, just to "haul" stuff. Anyway, we keep saying it, but we should DEFINITELY plan a mini meet for the spring.

Still around. Put over 4K miles on in August with a trip out to New Mexico then over to North Carolina. Car runs very well on those long trips. Able to cruise very comfortable @ ~ 90 mph for long distances. Still gets around 27 / 28 mpg at those speeds. Overall total of about 6100 miles.

Spent all last weekend detailing the car (orbital buffer, various Zaino products, etc.) so it looks pretty good right now. We'll probably put the car up for the winter as well.

One more thing - having now driven through a fair number of states I still haven't seen another 1 Series on the road.

Hmmmm. I got the welcome kit quite some time ago, but still no book. Sounds like it's time for a quick call to Holtz to see if they forgot to send something in. Thanks for replying.
