Nice! Should they settle over time another 1/2 inch maybe? Be sure to let us know how they ride versus stock.

They are the stock BMW M Sport shocks, and I was fortunate enough that the H&R Sport springs were the exact same model number as the ones I put in that e90. I almost bought the set for the e82, and looked at the pics of the springs I had just removed from the e90 (to sell them). Sure enough, they are the same.

Since these are used, they won't further settle. That's the drop I'll stay with. It's about a 1.5" drop all the way around.

Larry, what are the spring rates f/r for the H&R Sport's? Also, how's it handle compared to stock? Is it truly improved?

I've H&R Sports before, and they were nice, but I wasn't fond of the progressive nature of the springs.

And thanks for posting pics.

I want to post my impressions in another thread, as they'd be buried here in this teaser thread.

just got it and already ripping it apart eh? Drop looks great.. 3 hours? pretty easy install for springs I guess... I dont see how these work, what kind of suspension does the car have never seen it before, not your typical shock strut from a fwd

That first teaser pic is of the rear. It is a pretty unique configuration. It's a 5 link setup, and if you get to see it in person, it almost looks like it can't possibly articulate all that well... but it does.

The front is the strut/spring type. I replaced the springs on the existing struts. That took about 3hrs itself. The rears are pretty quick though.. about 1.5 hrs.

Looks great!! I just have one question, I'm not sure of weight so I'm just going to ask, IF the car you took the springs out of is heavier than the 135i, wouldn't that mean that the springs are broken in ever so slightly lower than if you would've used brand new ones and then break them in for the same period of time?? just curiosity
