^BMWCCA rules are similar to SCCA rules but slightly different.
Find which class the E36 M3s are in. That is the class that 128s and 135 verts run in. I think it's C but it's been a while. 135 coupes are in the next higher class which would be D with the E46 M3s |

Actually BMWCCA is using point system. I am not too sure about 128, but 135i is 54points and in D class. Camber plates front sway, up sized wheels and I am still in D class. I'll try to look for their classification system.
Found it. Looks like 128 is starting in class C with 47 points. http://www.nybmwcca.org/downloads/20...sification.pdf |

Also bring water and food with yourself. There really isn't much to go out and get during short lunch time. I am really looking forward to this. Last year @ test and tune we got 16 runs as there were only 20 or so cars participating. I remember it was freezing as well, and since we knew we were going to get enough runs nobody did the course walk. |

A small cooler with water is good. But in-between stints you can cross the street and get snacks from the sunoco. Also bring a drink out when you do course work

I need to get a helmet. Where do I get a helmet from by Sunday?
Maybe if I promise I won't go very fast, they'll let me off this time lmao.

They provide loaner helmets. If you find yourself enjoying this I strongly recommend you buy your own, and avoid motorcycle helmets as some clubs do not allow those. Last thing you want to do is swapping helmet on 90* day.

Lubo. The CCA unlike the SCCA provides you a helmet for the day. No swapping necessary.
But Tom if you're getting loaner helmets you should go to a speed shop and pick up a face sock for $10 |

Lubo - I plan on AutoX-ing all summer long so I am definitely buying myself a helmet. I just want to try one on before I commit and make sure it fits me properly and fits in my car.
Matt- where is there a speed shop? If there is a location that stocks helmets, I'll go and pick one up tomorrow.

The only true speed shop I know of is VAS in Huntington station.
Or you could search for an SK Speed near yoh. They're a chain place, so not as good, but anywhere should stock a balacalva. |
