Video on iDevices to Pro Nav
Hi all. I've searched the forums but found no definitive answer.
Is it possible to play vids on an iPod/Phone/Pad (via the 30-pin to AUX) connection on the Pro Nav screen? Not fussed about playing whilst the car is moving though. Amy advice is greatly appreciated.

It's possible with the media iphone dock. Otherwise you have to modify the aux connector to transfer analogue video signal to head unit. Requires running 3 wires to a free FBAS input on the head unit.
Too much effort for what its worth IMO.. Or you can buy an expensive aftermarket solution which taps into the LCD screen signal and lets you have any RCA inputs. |

I have a reverse camera module installed which the multimedia box gives you access to playing video on the screen.
tbh, i have not used the video option once except to test to see it working. |

What's the media iPhone dock? Is it a BMW OEM item? I have a snap in iPhone cradle but that does zip other than charge the phone.
