I once knew a Marine named Paul Shodean who lived out that way - nice guy.
Not really in the 135 market but if the right deal came along... Would it be reasonable to offer $30K?

Yes, and to be fair, 1ers in general (much less a 135 AND a ragtop) are rare out here. I've seen 2 other 1 series since I got mine in February and I have put 13K on it since then.

A pristine (which i'd hope it would be after 6k) CPO/extended E88 135 is probably worth something in the low 30s, if you could walk away with keys in hand for 30 on the nose i'd call that a good deal, likewise I don't think it would be at all unreasonable for the dealership to ask 32-34 for it. It depends on market too, in my general area you're not stepping in a car like that for a penny under 34 (sadly). Sounds like a nice car, I know you're not looking for a 135...but hopefully this nudges you in that direction

Bought mine a couple of weeks ago. Here's the details for reference.
2008 135i Convertible 6 Speed M package Navigation Heated seats and lots of adjustability (premium package?) Comfort Access Monaco Blue/Coral Red Certified Pre-owned $29200 + taxes & fees; asking price was 32000 From my research, I'm satisfied with the price. I got a fair deal. With that low mileage on a 2010, CPO and maintenance, I'd expect you to pay closer to 40 than 30. I did a good amount of research by looking at cars.com, autotrader, and BMW.com's inventory. |

When you drive it, pay special attention to the steering. It says "active steering", which ruined the 335i that I had. I went to the 135i withOUT active steering and am MUCH happier.

I actually searched for a 1er with active steering. I found the standard steering very heavy...to the point of feeling like it had no power steering. The active steer gives you a power assist in parking lots, but tightens up a lot with a heavy feel when driving. I absolutely love the feature. Try it out...you may like it.

Looks like asking price is $39,995 (Apple BMW of York, PA right?)
I was going to say high 36-37 before I realized you said it's a convertible. I assume it's this one: http://nitra.bmwcpodealer.com/cpo/Ve...-PA/1822320823 |

I'm fine with the steering in my 128 so active steering = more crap to fail.

if it helps i just picked what i feel was a great deal. 2 days ago i got a 135i 2011 with 18k miles for 32K after taxes out the door (30,800 before taxes).
Soo that said with that low miles youll prob expect to pay about what i did, maybe more unless you find a really sweet deal. did anyone say carmax?? hehe

I doubt they would come down 10k from the asking price, this isnt a ford mustang
but, with all those options and convertible, i would say 33k is about fair + taxes

Dealer told me they are probably going to sell my car for mid-30s. It's a 2010 135i 6MT with iDrive, premium, HK, heated seats, etc with 32k miles. $46,600 new. Just a reference point...
