Funny how they are trying to snub the 1M.... The go-pro feature looks cool.

about time we see the M2, good looking color, and looking forward to the reviews!
however, im somewhat disappointed at the look of the rear-end, no M mirrors, nor carbon roof. i can see the how the marketing was capturing the eyes of their target market here.

it will be a good car.....performance wise----but will be much more electronic and refined than the 1M.
but i don't like the way it looks at all. Taking cues from the X6M? ick. Overall.....i don't have any interest at all but am really glad the 1M formula was tried again. i think the M2 is sort of like a refined, 'professional' version of the 1M. Will appeal to many, i'm sure. Last edited by IEDEI; 10-13-2015 at 10:18 PM.. |

Guess since the M3/M4 is not selling as expected they decided to take some of those goodies out of the M2, looks nice so far...

Oh BMW, WTF is up with using those POS pedals? I have pretty much the same stupid pedals!
I was expecting it to look a bit better...those fangs are a tad too big for my taste. Just as I expected and feared, BMW M failed to improve that rear end to say it's a "nice ass." It definitely had the hips, exhaust tips, and other details down. The tail lights are the failing point. Regardless, I wouldn't be complaining if I have an M2 (except for the POS pedals). |

Nice looking car. Like the color as well. I'm sure the reviewers will like it. I wonder what kind of car it would have been if BMW had the cojones to give it the S55 engine. I guess that probably wouldn't have fit too well into BMW's hierarchy.

I don't like how they treated the 1M in that promo. It will be able to keep up quiet good since they are even with power to weight. Motor trend tested the 1M at 4.2 0-60 with a manual. Curious what number they get out of the M2.
Then again they can't make it look good or show it off because then the 1M sales will spike and not the M2 Seriously disappointed. The M2 was supposed to be a successor to the 1M and improve on the things it couldn't do with its short development and budget. Almost feels half way through they killed the Pyrat 2 project and went for cheap development and profit.

The base price of , supposedly, $51k is very tempting, and I'm sure it's a heck of a deal!
But, I think the 1er has more magic to it!

I just can't stand the front headlights on the 2 series....ugh
They should have made their headlights look like the M4's or M3's The 1M is twice the car the M2 looks to be. And what kind of an M car doesn't have M mirrors?? |
