Request for DIY help on Sirius Install

I just ordered all of the parts needed to install Sirius on my 08 135. Has anyone installed this and willing to provide tips. Looks pretty simple excluding having to reprogram (plug and play).

Any tips on how to get around that one without going to the stealership?

There is so much information on this, please perform a search.

You can install it if you like, but you must go to the dealer and have the ECU programmed. I was going the DIY route and realized that it's easier to just let the dealer do it turn key. I bought the equipment and paid them the install and reprogram. My total cost was about $650 (with BMWCCA 15% discount) for a 2009 model. You will be glad you have a 2008 model, because it's much more difficult on later models (> $1k cost).

Good luck.
