Congrats Clarky! 2k in a week must be the fastest run to 2k service on this Aussie forum!

We could just be the only 1Ms on Sydney wet roads today? It was much fun and it tooks wet corners faster and better than I have expected despite the stories told

4 days of rain in Darwin? You must be having fun then?!!
I ran nearly 400kms late arvo just running round as many corners as I can and towards the end, I was like close to WOT on some of them. This car just wants to slide and go go go. I'm stoked.

I meant 4 days to 2K kms service!

Rain is officially over in D-town, it's 25C and sunny now! Car is loving the cooler mornings - can't wait for the next track day.

I'm just like you, I love getting the nannies off in the rain! Please do be careful though mate, she's a lairy one!

I know what you mean Not sure how well you know Sydney but I did part Wisemans Ferry Rd, part OPH and part Putty Rd - over 7 hours on road and nearly 400kms? MDM and M on. Love this car in the rain! No excessive speed, lots of gear changes, not lots of braking. Lots of oppsie moments but great moments. Got hairy towards the end as it got darker and heavier rain. As everyone has already found out, lovely car!

Don't know Sydney at all, but that sounds like a right riot! Really jealous of the roads you gents have there.

I actually picked up an broke the car in NSW South Coast. The Clyde Mountain was oh so fun!

MDM is great great fun in the wet, with a bit of space!

Hi all - ordered a VO 1M to add to my collection of Bimmers - apparently due into Adelaide mid July! Probably salesman speak but apparently one of the last into Australia??

Looking forward to driving it and experiencing what the motor press and all on this forum have been raving on about!

Would love to know how many ultimately will be delivered to Australia and if it is indeed as "rare" as what the dealers are making it out to be?

rest assured guys, nothing brave, stupid nor reckless with my driving yesterday. 7hrs/400k should indicate that it was just normal road speed. If anything, just faster than normal entry speeds and lesser than normal braking, picking different lines through different bends/corners, letting the M go a bit more than usual and finding its limit in the wet. Perhaps exits with the M button on was a bit harder than normal. The oopsie moments were aptly managed by TC at the speeds I was going.

Most track instructors would probably disapprove I used to do this with other M and learnt its road limit in the wet.

Anyway, no danger of losing my licence nor control of car but definitely learnt the car better and had fun doing so. All good.

Congrats! Interested to see how it compares to your CSL

Any photos? Also, you keeping or selling it when the 1M comes? A 1M CSL would be wicked.

first run was down to Coal Cliff, southern forest, sea cliff bridge, Jamberoo through back-roads to Bowral.
then came home and read instructions on how to run-in. Certainly wasn't being mad as I left the MDM and M buttons alone - can't wait to let go of them!!!
nastiest part was the dangerous P-plate bogans tail-gating me once I got on the highway back into Sydney city.
