Wow, I go away for a few days, and all kinds of good shots get posted! Nice stuff everyone!

I was at the San Diego Safari Park on Friday and between me and my friend I think we took about 1800 stills and maybe half an hour of video. I will be processing this stuff all week after work, (except I am working 10s this week, ugh) and hope to post some of the better ones here. For starters, here is a shot of an African lion, just after he finished mating. It was fun listening to the parents try to explain why the big lion was "piggy back riding" the other lion to their questioning little ones.

That's funny. I do it sometimes in person, someone says something and I respond, only to realize they were speaking to someone behind me somewhere. Hate when that happens!

Here's a different subject during a particularly awesome sunset that with the cloud cover made the whole sky golden orange that day:

Cheetah at full speed. Canon 7D at 1/1600 and F 2.8 (70-200 mm glass) ISO 200. Probably should have gone to an even higher shutter speed as running that fast, the cat is still a bit blurry. If I ever watch this again, I will rent a 1DX. The whole thing was over in less than 5 seconds. Incredible to witness this lady kitty do her stuff!
