If I worked for a marketing company or had to do an Ibis World report on the demo for 1addicts, I would say the following.

AGE GROUP: 21 - 50 professional, male, home owner, moderate to high discretionary income.

----

As an FBI profiler....

Male, young at heart, risk taker, owns 1er as experimental toy, fun car, not dream car, enjoys reading, learning new things, sharing information

----

As a wife/gf

Immature dipsh1t, messing around with the car I should be driving, can't just have it all nice and in one piece, laughing on the computer with other dipsh1t's whom also drive their wives insane.

why can't he just buy a 1m and be happy?

----

as a friend of a 1addict

Smartest dude with BMW's on earth. knows all the problems, faults to look out for, how to service a car, how to fix various problems. probably more knowledge about bmw's than bmw themselves!

----

reality; once you get into the workforce, age is nothing but a number. I consider people my fathers age a mate, and talk to them exactly the same as I would talk to someone my own age.

Asking the average age is such a teenagers question.

The point remains; we are all enthusiasts of the same car, and happy to share knowledge, experiences and tips with no reward, other than "paying it forward" (man, i feel like justin@advan using inverted comma's).

Age, age means nothing.

I didn't say my car was fast. It was more about letting you enjoy a nice drive in a 135i vert that runs properly. And yes it is Australia's second quickest 135i down a drag strip to.

Restoring antique furniture.....I"M IN!!

Older than most, younger than some

I bet the US demographic would be a lot different to the Aussie one!
