Rear Diffuser

I have a 135i in Titanium Silver and think the stock rear diffuser has a cheap, plastic finish.

Gravity Autosports offers an option to order a stock diffuser that is professionally refinished and color matched for $195.

Should I order one in Space Grey Metallic (a darker metallic than the rest of the car's titanium silver)? I think the Space Grey might offset the Titanium Silver very nicely.

Also, if I do this, would anyone want to purchase my stock diffuser? I just bought the car, it only has 1600 miles on it, and the stock diffuser is in perfect condition.

Could just get a carbon fiber diffuser from Scopione for around 350ish. Looks just like the BMW Performance one.

I thought about doing that (going carbon fiber diffuser) but I worry that once I do that, I'm gonna have to buy a bunch more carbon fiber things on the car to complement a carbon fiber diffuser. Having the stock diffuser painted seems more like a one and done sort of thing. Maybe I'm off-base tho..

Several people have gone with the painted diffuser look and it seems to be fine. Not sure about Space Gray metallic, but a more glossy look to the diffuser's normal color. You might be better off doing a Feeler in the For sale forums to get a better idea if the diffuser will sell.

It took me three months to get my shadowline diffuser from Gravity Autosport last year. You are better off going to a good local body shop and having your stock diffuser painted. That being said, the GAS diffuser has held up very well and looks much better than stock.

And I also agree that the Scopione piece looks great for the price which wouldn't be that much more expensive then getting your diffuser painted.
