Damnit! You had to pique my interest. It truly is a moment. For those of you who do not know what that means, you're much better off for it.

CA car reg for custom plates

Yes, that is correct for CA. I just picked up my 135I plates, and they are on my Audi now. I tried to just hold the plate, and they said they would return it back and make it available again to another driver. I really wanted that plate, so my Audi A3 now has the 135I license plate, and my car registration is changed now to reflect the new plate number. And yes, they required the Audi plates back, a signature, and the old car registration. Kind of a pain, but I think it will be fun to have that plate on the new 1.

From my knowledge(might be wrong), we can't have two plates for one vehicle. but your statement said "In Oklahoma it would be legal to have either the normal plate or the personalized plate on the car" Should that have been and AND where the or is...

^^ good to know.. Which dealership did you order yours from? We should start up a local SF bay area 1er's owners group for GTG/meets.

^ yeah, if its not an M1, I wouldnt call it one, badge it one, or tag it as one. I dont all my 330i ZHP an M3, though its the closest thing to an M3 sedan they made in the e46 bodystyle...

Well, being an Iowa State grad (no snickering please) My plates for my old 325 were ISU plates that said CLNDBMR but I think that my new plates will say TWSTED1.
