!Sold! - FS - OZ Alleggerita/Michelin PS2 set of 4 - $1600

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
$1600 Northern Virginia area, but willing to ship if you're willing to pay.

I used this set on a 2008 BMW 135i I sold a several months ago. I bought these new on July 31st, 2009 for use as a summer wheel/tire set, so they only have 1 season's use on them! They are in very good shape, and I will send pictures of any size or angle to prove it to you. I have the original Tire Rack receipt for this set, of which I paid $2861.07 new, so you are getting over $1100 off from new. This is a complete set, which means I did NOT skimp on the BMW TPMS sensors. You will not be disappointed with these wheels and tires, and if you're still on the stocker wheels/run-craps, you WILL feel the power difference that minus 7 pounds of unsprung weight give your ride. The wheels are OZ Alleggerita's, some of the lightest weight wheels on the market. The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport II's, arguably the best high performance tire on the market. You can see from the picture how much tread is left on these. There is no damage, and I repeat, NO DAMAGE anywhere in both the wheels and tires. You can come check them out for yourself. One more thing to mention, this is a staggered set-up. The sizes of everything are as follows:

Front Wheels - 18x8, 5-120 lug pattern, ET40 Rear Wheels - 18x9, 5-120 lug pattern, ET40

Front Tires - 225/40R18Y Rear Tires - 255/35R18Y

Let me know if you'd like me to email you higher res pics.

BMW Performance Suspension, installed by the dealer, so everything was within toe-in specs. There's no abnormal wear on the tread if that's what you're hinting at

If you are willing to sell just the rims I'd be interested.

With tires that cost as much as the wheels, I'm really aiming to sell these as a package. Used wheels are one thing, but used tires tho? It would feel so wrong having to junk perfectly good PS2's. Sorry bro.

Hey im looking at a set of Ultralegerras same sizes and offsets as your Alleggeritas were. Curious as to how they fit. Im assuming that you rolled your fenders. And im thinking about putting a 235 up front. Dont care if I rub at full lock but is there enough room in the front fenders for that size?

Sorry about the questions. Just looking for answers before I throw away $2700. Thanks.

I definitely had plenty of room up front with the 225's, no rubbing at all, so no need to roll the front fenders. I did have to roll the rear fenders to fit the 255's tho. I really don't know about the 235's. If I had to guess, I'd say that they'd fit with maybe some minor rolling needed.

Do you recall how much room was between the tire and the suspension strut?

I never measured that, but being that I was lowered on BMW PS and never had any issues with rubbing (even during "very aggressive" driving), I really don't think the clearance there is any issue. Any clearance issues are definitely going to show up on the fender side before the strut side.
