What did you do to that car that you think you will get nearly $20K over the original list price of the car?

Unless I am mistaken....I'm fairly sure that car was 55k new...so according to the autotrader ad...he is asking $3k over....which is a pretty good price based on miles/options etc............

Considering selling mine as well just trying to figure the right price. 18,000 miles. GC camber plates, BMW Motorsport steering wheel. BR Harness bar and hoop orange, Motorsport pedals, performance friction pads and rotors, and new Michelin SS's ???

Exactly...those of us that were lucky enough to get our names on the list (18 months wait for me) have every right to set the market price on these.
Every time I go to my dealership, my CA tells me that people are still calling him about these cars. Maybe I'll eat crow someday when the M2 comes out, but a limited quantity of something this good means that it will hold its value. I told my CA I'd sell my car for 70k, but otherwise I'm going to enjoy it for the amazing and fun machine that it is. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. |

You're not setting the market price, the buyers do. You can ask anything you want but just because you say its worth something doesn't mean anyone will buy it for that.

In a demand driven market this is true, however, this is a supply driven market so asking price does play a significant factor in final sale price.
