2009 135i: ask a dealership to find me one?

So I might be shooting myself in the foot here, but here we go:

looking for either a new 2009 135i with manual transmission -- have contacted 18 dealerships on the east coast to find out what they have... of course, not too many people have anything -- and I won't do Black exterior, and the girlfriend doesn't like the coral Red interior... so there we go.

Only options I care about are the sport package (Whats the difference between Sport and M-Sport anyways?) and USB adapter... I do plan to have a home-link mirror installed, but don't really care about the premium package beyond that.

Would i be in a bad situation to ask a dealership to locate a car for me? Am I really just asking to pay entirely too much?

If anybody has any links to what I'm looking for in your area I'm all ears/eyes/etc (I'm also open to a CPO with low miles....)

You'll be hard pressed to find one sitting on a dealer lot. It's not a car the they order for dealer stock like a 3 series. You can get really good deals on a built-to-order 2010, so why not do that and skip the depreciation?

Also, the difference between Sport and M sport is wheels and the M has a black headliner.

Yeah seriously...

My dealer actually has a 2009 Monaco Blue with gray interior, nav, and premium that has like 5k on it. You could get that for a song I'm sure.

Well -- I guess technically fiance would be a more appropriate term -- and since she will be driving this some to, i figured her input on color couldn't hurt (not to mention I'm colorblind anyways). What dealership is that?

if you cant see the red, then i guess it doesnt matter. but seriously, if you are going to start letting your fiance boss you around like this, then get ready to bend over when marriage comes

you are going to have an impossible time finding a 09 6mt with sport or m sport still on the lot. most of us here ordered our cars, you probably will have to do the same on a '10

Downside -- i called several of those leads before you posted them -- most dealerships make a generic posting it would seem and leave it up to generate interest.... meaning the car doesn't exist at all.

This one is at Sun Motorcars in Mechanicsburg PA. There is also a Jet black with black leatherette in Fayetteville NC, Montego Blue with Beige leather in Louisville Kentucky.
