New to Us

Been on the hunt for a while for 1-series Cabrio and finally picked up this 2013 a couple of weeks ago. We were a bit late on pulling the trigger on a nicely optioned ’13 128i Cabrio CPO when the BMW Stop Sale mandate came down due to the airbag issue. We were going to wait, but when it appeared that the wait was going to go out for months we were not too thrilled about the car sitting in the Texas sun baking for months not being driven.

This one popped up on the car search radar with 39K on the clock and about 8 months left on the factory warranty. Just had it in for some minor warranty work and a check-up. Nice surprise was that the prior owner had sprung for a 2yr/50K extension on the maintenance plan which we inherited. Sweet!

Currently shopping for an extended warranty for the break-fix side of the car and looking to replace the exhaust for a BMW PE and then possibly a PPK1 tune.

Here she is, all washed and waxed!

Coming for another cabrio owner, did it come with the wind deflector? If not, it is a great investment if you mainly drive with just one passenger.

No it did not, but your advice is very much appreciated! We'll keep an eye out for perhaps a used one!

It's a must! Changes the dynamic of the top down experience. You can be on the car bluetooth going 60 miles an hour on the highway and people can hear you speaking to them. Plus it enables you to drive with the top down when it gets into the low 50's high 40's. Worth every penny! Enjoy the car great looking sled!

Nice convertible!

I agree with the comments about the wind deflector. That was the first thing I did for my car. They are expensive at the dealer (~$600) but I found one on Amazon from a BMW dealer in Atlanta for ~$400 and it was delivered the next day. It made a world of difference on the cooler days.
