OT : Collected my LCI X5 xdrive40d today....sort of....

What a motor! That twin turbo 3 litre diesel pulls like a freight train - I'm really impressed with the diesel.

Unfortunately, that's about as far as the JOY went today. It's back at the dealer tonight as the auto tailgate has stuffed itself - won't lock the tailgate down! Of course, the wife is less than happy after waiting since March so she's less than JOYful at the moment.

I'll post some pics when I get the car back!

Congrats - bugger about the tailgate , but with the TT you could probaly do with a little more down force!!

Do you think the 8speed box helps?

I don't think I even got to the 8th gear in the short time I had it (before going back to the dealer). The box is certainly silky smooth and there is heaps of power on tap. I never thought a diesel could be so responsive.

I note with interest that although the car has runflats, you get a space saver spare. Guess the runflats will be getting the boot when they wear out!
