135i HPFP failure!

Just had my first engine malfunction today on the way back from lunch, I was cruising at about 35mph and and felt the car shake for a meer second and malfunction sign appeared and went into limp mode, and I thought i was gonna be the first 135 to never experience since, but in the past month i have noticed long cranks in the morning and very rough idle and i knew it was a matter of time, i just hope this wont happen often after they replace it with the second one, btw I HAVE 28K on the car now

I'm starting to notice a 1-3sec cranks only in the morning. I hope its not the fuel pump but from what I've read, this is the start of a downward spiral. I too have missed the perverbial bullet cause I have about 25k miles on mine. Now its just a matter of time til this pump bites the dust, just hope it happens when I'm less than a half hour from a dealership. Right now my closest one is an hour away.

just had my second HPFP replacement at 51K miles. The first was at about 20K. I was an hour from the dealership. That drive is painful! Stalled several times in rush-hour traffic stop/go.

128i FTW. No problems here. Where is the class action lawsuit? Seriously a fuel pump is the problem? This is outrageous! Can't wait to see the piston walls after 60k miles.

Or design the part so that doesn't last a maximum of 30k miles.

Mine died two weeks ago. Expected return to service next week.
