Thanks for all the positive responses. Even though I am investing considerable dollars into the 135i platform (more in the future planned). To me, its quite worth it, when compared to the M3.

A little lighter vehicle, with a better engine. The twin turbo inline 6 is more contemporary, and the horsepower potential is exceptional.

Plus I really like the look of the 135i. An awesome platform for appearance and performance upgrades.

The rear deck spoiler is part of the Hartge kit; I had it urathene molded into the trunk lid. It is made of fiberglass or purim.

I hate seeing all these nice looking white 1ers. Makes me regret my color choice.

The AST coilovers are NOT recommended (I updated my posting). My left front coilover has developed a very loud squeaking noise. Why? When examined I have discovered that it is missing two o-rings as delivered from the factory. Completely unacceptable manufacturing quality control. BR Racing is attempting to get me a replacement.

I will update on the speed of customer service responsiveness.

And even if my diagnosis is incorrect; the noise and squeaking from the coilover truly sucks. Do not buy theses coilovers for your 135 or any other BMW.

Sorry to hear that. Mine will be here in a few weeks. My only thought is that this sort of thing may happen from time to time. I have heard nothing but good things about AST and there are lots of people using them. I would only be upset to the level you are at if they do not fix the problem. Hope things work out for you!!!

I agree with your comments. I am willing to change my opinion about AST, and the rating of their coilover system; provided their customer service responsiveness is on top of this. I will update on this as the problem approaches resolution.
