LCI Retofit w/out Adaptive Lights, possible?

My car currently has pre-LCI Xenons with adaptive headlights. I'd like to update them to Euro LCI headlights w/out it. Seems AHL is just another thing to break, and I like the quad projector headlamp look. Will I have any hardware issues with this, or is it just a matter of coding?

you can probably just use non AHL headlights and theyll work as usual, but your car will most likely throw an error for AHL failure

Yep you should be able to use non AHL headlights, but you will have to recode your car to remove the AHL functionality. Otherwise yeah you will get errors.

Anyone know if I'll need different ballasts? Or should the same ones be ok?

You can code out the AHL by removing the $VO.

ugh. EAS botched the install. Didn't wire up the LED brow or code things out. Can the write be done while the headlights are still in the car??
