The irony of this, being that BMW's are supposed to have good residual value is that I just sold my 2004 Mustang Cobra for $27.5K (US) and only paid $28K for it back in 2004 brand new.

The HPFP debactle has ruined the 135's reputation forever. Like the Pinto is associated with bursting into flames the 135 will be always linked with pump problems. Great job BMW in no fixing an issue in a timely manner. Idiots!

Something like that...But 80% was sponsor/vendor donated ;-) But true value of mods was something like $12K

Why don't we file a class action against ABC for affecting our resale value?

CR is garbage data anyway. Their methods/results have been proven flawed, if not downright bought.
But the damamge is done. The sensationalist ABC story and the subsequent psudo-recall have probably wrecked resale value forever. Good thing I'm not planning to sell mine any time soon.

Ha ha! Same here. I plan on having mine around for at least 4 years.
