I personally dont think 50k mileage is that high. There are a ton of 2007 335i's with N54's pushing 80-90k miles on e90post with no serious issues. With Intake Valves Cleaning every 40k miles, Water Pump replacement and a few other small issues worked out, I don't see why our cars wont run for 150k miles. Maybe I'm insane.
Fortunately, the 135i's in your price range will generally be recently out of warranty and should have service records available through the seller or the dealer. I would start with seeing those and a carfax and then checking the car in person. @NoirthernDancer pretty much nailed what to look for. |

First thing I look at. Want to know how well the car was taken care of? What kind of tires are on there is usually a good indicator.
