The car looks great. Do you mind sharing what headlight mods you did (which bulbs you used and the turn signals?

Sure. I sent my headlights to CA to Duy at Bavarian Exclusive for the LED upgrade, housing painted black and turn signal blackout. PM me and I will give you his contact info if you are interested.

1 of three things seems to be going on in this picture:

1. My eyes are way off.
2. My monitor is way off.
3. The car you're comparing to is mineral gray or sparkling graphite and not space gray.

Based on these pics, your car looks exactly like mine! Though I can't pick up on the sparkle in pics, the shade looks identical.

mb135is and i128, I stand corrected. You are correct, the comparison car is actually Sparkling Graphite Metallic. Sorry for the confusion...so many BMW greys.

Seriously - and even within each color, there are various different shades. Looking at your car next to sparking graphite really makes it look exactly like space. I'd love to see the enhanced metallic feature of the wrap in person.

So, does one polish/wax a wrap as they would with paint, or not necessary?

Here is a FAQ guide directly from 3M's website that should answer your question along with several others. Hope this helps!

I thought I would update the thread with some pictures as to how well the wrap held up at the track a couple weekends ago. Considering all the pebbles and gravel that was on the track at Heartland Park for the Flat Out Classic, the wrap held up...well....not the greatest. BUUUUT...I guess its better the wrap than the paint There are several "chips" in the vinyl where debris has impacted the front bumper cover. However, there are a couple spots on the bumper cover that I wasn't pleased with during the initial install of the vinyl. I think I'll rip this original piece off and apply a new base layer, attempting to correct all the problematic spots from my first attempt. I will then apply a couple layers of additional vinyl in areas that I now know to be susceptible to damage. My thinking is the additional layers will provide some extra cushion to slow down impacts and help protect the under lying permanent vinyl.

I payed around $600 for the wrap, did all of the labor by myself. Places were quoting me 2-3k for the labor so I decided to attempt on my own.

Here are a couple more photos that better show the metallic in the wrap.
