I found this small configuraiton on BMWs website this morning.
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...roduction.html At least you can pick the colors and wheels. Just one step closer. Now for the pricing. |

And there is a ton more official information. I think that they were waiting until the auto show was over to display these web pages. There are links to prices but they just lead you to your countries web pages.

The BMW 1 Series Coupé is available in 13* paint finishes. Choose from classics such as Titanium Silver metallic, Montego Blue metallic or Sapphire Black, or contemporary shades such as Tahiti Green or Crimson Red. Two new exclusive paint finishes are also available: Sedona Red underscores the athleticism of the BMW 1 Series Coupé while Cashmere Silver highlights its elegance.
* Monaco Blue metallic, Tahiti Green metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Alpine White non-metallic and Crimson Red non-metallic are available as of 12/07. Blue Water metallic is available as of 03/08. http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...equipment.html so they list 10. add to that 11) jet black, 12) le mans blue (for the US i hope!), 13) sparkling graphite |

love it!
something tells me the US isn't going to see this M sports package in its entirety though. M sports package. Dynamics made visible: the M sports package. The special aerodynamics package, M alloy wheels and high-gloss Shadow Line underline the dynamic looks of the BMW 1 Series Coupé. Choose from five paint finishes and two wheel rims. The M sports package also includes front sports seats in an exclusive cloth/Sensatec Flashpoint combination, Glacier Silver aluminium interior trims, Anthracite BMW Individual roof liner, and the M leather steering wheel. so they say "Choose from five paint finishes." interesting. I guess those are the ones we are seeing. |

Anyone notice,
"Shift paddles. Putting extremely rapid gear shifts at your fingertips: simply push the paddle away from you to change down or pull it towards you to change up. The optional shift paddles* available for the six-speed automatic transmission provide even fast gear shifts without you ever needing to take your hands off the wheel. * Available as of March 2008 for the BMW 135i Coupé (fitted as standard with the automatic transmissions) and the BMW 123d Coupé." 135 Coupe fitted as standard with auto transmission??? No personal experience with buying BMWs so what does this mean if we want a manual? |

My sales guy got to see and sit in a 135i about a month ago I asked him about options and he said it would only be available in leather or leatherette (pleather) we may get good prices on BMW in the us but we get shafted on the cool options |

There is a mismatch of information. The US press release only mentioned the M dynamic package being standard and that entails the bumper, brake cooling and etc. I believe it's the UK press release that said the M sports package will be standard on the 135i. So it's not clear whether US will have the M sports package standard or M sports package at all.

And finally, more information (new to me, anyway) about the adaptive brake lights...
Sudden stops - emergency braking - are not a regular element of everyday driving. But it's precisely at these moments that the fast reactions of drivers behind are most important. Brake Force Display is a dual-stage brake light system. For normal braking, the main light element is illuminated; for harder, sudden braking, the entire brake light glows red. Drivers behind intuitively understand and can react accordingly. When the optional xenon lights are fitted, the rear lights also feature distinctive LED technology.I also think it's news that you don't get the LEDs without the Xenons. This will make non-Xenon 128is look rather plain. |
