What is going price for 1er?

Picking up on a thread recently posted, I am curious if paying sticker is still a reality for the 1er in most of the USA, and in particular, the DC metro area.

A recent poster suggested he is getting a 1er for hundreds over invoice. That's a big change from sticker price. As of a few months ago, it seemed like everyone on this site was still paying sticker.

I've been away from the site for a while, so I'm wondering if someone can bring me up to speed on this.

Thanks!

I don't really think much has changed. I ordered mine a few months ago in NOVA and didn't pay sticker. I think you can still get below sticker fairly easily.

What dealer did you use and do you recommend them?

Thanks!

Well...I think I saw in another thread that you are close to Arlington and am not too pleased with getting to Sterling to get the Mini serviced.

I prefer Sterling out of all the NOVA dealers. I used to live about a mile from Arlington BMW and never had a good experience there. I've purchased an 04 MCS, 06 X5, and the 135 from Sterling (after getting an 03 325 from another NOVA dealer) and they have always been great and much less of a hassle than either Arlington or Fairfax (at least for me).

I also find, given their inventory and turnover, that it is easier to negotiate a fair price with them.

So I would recommend them but I also understand the getting to them issue, especially if you spend most of your time inside the beltway. It's a full day trip to get to that place!

Since you sell BMWs, I have a quick question - I have an opportunity to purchase new BMWs at corporate/fleet price (because my company has partnered up with BMW) but what exactly is corporate and fleet pricing? Is it invoice or below invoice?

Apparently, the offer is good for any new BMW except M3 coupe on the lot, through custom order or Euro Delivery.

When I was at a local dealership 2 weeks ago, they were still charging (and getting) MSRP for any 1er's on the lot.

Fleet prices are usually whatever your company fleet manager negotiates and this reflects on volume price. Roughly 5-7% discount, at least that's how it happens in Europe.

Let say that your junior managers get to drive 1 series diesel - packages are the same only choice of preset colors for interior/exterior (for residual value and re marketing purposes)! Your mid level manager get a 3 series same idea as before and top manager get 5 series while GM gets 7 or 6 series less volume but more focused on building brand image and loyalty.

prices in texas are worst in nation.....pay basically $500 above MSRP. You pay MSRP and then a $500 MACO fee.
