Just got a CF mirror cap, which tape to attach?

Hey guys, I just got a CF mirror cap from JlevisW.

I thought it was a full replacement for the OEM mirrors, but

when it's delivered, I was like ahh they were overlays.

Anyways, I thought overlays did not look that bad and so

I'm planning to install it.

But then, which tape would you recommend to use so that the CF mirrors can fit well!

Thanks!

My CF caps had a really really snug fit, tape would have not only created an ugly gap between the mirror and the cap, bu probably would have warped the cap as well. I used 3M decal and trim adhesive, it was like 4 bucks a tube from autozone. Any gooey adhesive should work if the caps are of good quality and fit snugly on your mirrors.

Thank you for the info. But if using a trim adhesive instead of tapes, is it going to be harder to remove the CF cover later on?

I typically recommend using the 3M tape so you can remove it. The trim adhesive is usually permanent so it would be tough to remove.
