Emissions test - Pass or Fail?
Hi guys,
Loving my car to bits. She is a daily driver and have done quite a few things to her so far (big thread due to come soon when my wheels are installed!). Thinking of some of the final touches to do before I give the modding a good rest and just enjoy the heck out of the car. I have a N55 with BMW Performance exhaust installed (no Y-pipe) and obviously N55 midpipes. I was thinking of installing some catted downpipes (AR 4" specifically) for that extra bit of oomph to power and sound. Would that setup pass sound and emissions regulations? Not sure if anyone here has experience with them, I don't want smelly exhausts in traffic and I would like to completely avoid error codes being thrown by something like catless downpipes. I also don't need bullshit headaches from the authorities :P Pete

Given what Holden and Ford pour into this country new and they pass... I think you will be fine.

Haha yes I think if I stay catted I'll be safe in terms of exhaust emissions, but not sure if it will be over the legal limit in terms of sound.
