your sentiments on run flats
idk about yall but i am not all that impressed with these tires... i mean driving on a flat tire is cool and all but they really make the ride bumpy as shit and dont absorb much... is this just me?
also i have heard that the suspension is special tuned for run-flats specifically... does this mean that if one installs regular tires that he needs to adjust the suspension?

It took five minutes tops to find all of these threads. To answer your first question: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=run+flat http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=run+flat http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=run+flat http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=run+flat Second Question: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...lat+suspension There is probably something in those first links that answer the second question too. |

Yes. As you can see from the above post, you aren't the first to mention that, but you are right about the harsh ride. I didn't even realize just how harsh it was until I installed my non-RunFlat winter tires, and the ride got *better*. (Going a step down to 17" wheels helped, too.) I suppose I will put the regular summer RFTs on in April - I hate to discard tires that are okay, no matter how harsh the ride, but I am definitely looking forward to the point when I can replace them. |
