Help Please!

I'm sorry if this has been talked about before, but I couldn't find a thread by searching. How do you find the production date of the car, I understand it's a year and a week#?

Also, I'm hearing a lot of stuff about pre-sept cars and the CIP20 update, what exactly is the relevance of these and how do I know if I need it.

Drivers side B-Pillar. Open your drive door and look at the VIN sticker. The month and year will be on the sticker near the top.

Yeah, I saw that sticker. I just thought I remember somewhere about the actual week of production. Mine says 05/05...is it weird for it to be produced so long ago if I just leased it 3 weeks ago?

Now that I know my car is a Pre-Sept car, what should I do?

OUCH, I hope you got a good deal on it.

Did you buy it off the lot?

You'll need to take in for a software update; so that you can program many of the Personal Profiles Feature.

I think we got a relatively good deal on it, yeah the car was in the lot. I didn't know it was so hard to find a 6MT 330i (only 9 in the western region and not 1 in LA when I was looking). Next car I'll be custom ordering. I'll be sure to take it in for software update as soon as I have a chance...it might explain the problems I was having with bluetooth connectivity. Do you know if the dealer gives you a loaner while your car is in for software update?

don't just annoy the dealer trying to get some "upgrade" that you might not even need

Well, I am having bluetooth connectivity problems, so I'm hoping that the update will take care of that. I need to put the car in for a problem with the ignition, so I can just get them done at the same time. Plus, I called my dealer and they said it's no problem.
