I placed the order over the phone and he asked for my credit card deposit. He has the list of options I wanted from the emails.
He never charged my card but I realize this is not a big deal.

It gets into the system and I get a production number days later.
I'm still anxious at this point because I do not know "exactly" what I will be paying for.

I meet him in person two weeks later just to solidify the deal further and in hopes to get an actual price of some sort in writing. He informs me that it will be BMWs invoice from the factory. He was very nonchalantly about this and wasn't deceptive. He did however gave me my order print out with my name, production number and my options, though I did not get a price on paper.

I have been tracking "my" car for the last couple of weeks. It should be at the dealer within the next two weeks.

- Is there anything I should be worried about that risks the deal falling through?

- Can I trust that his invoice price will match my research?

- Price over invoice, does that mean invoice price of each of the options as well? This is my assumption.

any advice greatly appreciated.

seems pretty straighforward to me. Basically ask him to print out a wholesale/resale form for you. It will show the msrp vs. invoice. Then just add the appropriate amount. He can't manipulate the invoice, it is what it is from BMW. Dont worry about the cc being charged, sometimes we just simply forget to charge it

What about the options and packages, I should be paying invoice on this as well correct?

base car invoice + options/packages invoice + agreed price over invoice.

What does 600 over invoice mean to a Dealer?

thanks again.

If you get the sheet I told you about, it will show the invoice pricing on all options side by side with msrp.

Whatever the bottow number on the left is your invoice plus $600 in your case

can the PC do this?

David,

First of all, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions here. I really appreciate it.

I plan to order a 128 soon. I want to do a performance center delivery and drive it back to Kansas City for the road trip. However, I don't want to risk my baby without a clear bra. So, if I take delivery at the performance center, can they install things like a clear bra before I take delivery? Also, if I purchase some performance parts :roundel: from you (nice prices btw) could we get them there and have them install them as well before I take delivery?

Thanks in advance.

dbtheo, I have purchased a Valentine 1 Radar Detector. I am planning to tap into a switched wire behind the overhead lighting console & hardwire it. Does this void my warranty? My cousin who used to do car audio work said it might, but I would really like to have a neat hardwire set-up for my detector...

I just ordered a MY2009 128 and received a production number from my CA. It's been exactly a week now but it's still not showing up on the BMW Owner's web site when I put in my production number. Even though it won't go into production until September, should it at least be in the system?

Same here. I guess the 09s are not tracking yet. The factory shuts down 2 weeks in August to switch over to 09 production. Could be a few weeks yet.

Option 320 is a German option, not US.

sorry for the delay, end of month is always a busy time.

Ok, in answer to your question, yes accesories can be installed at the pcd in advance. Your client adivsor (or me) has to pre-order & get it set up in adavance. Obiviously there may be some additional labor costs incurred.

I wouldn't be worried. If he gave you an actual production number, you are in good shape. All will be well soon:smile:
