E90 to 08 AW E82

Hey everyone recently upgraded from a 07 E90 328xi to an 08 135i.

I thought I would miss 4 doors and all the extra room but I have fallen in love with the 1 already, the extra power is just icing on the cake!

Here are some pics of the new 1 plenty of mods on the way:

1st mod was tints and matte grills:

A few pics of the old E90, ill have to get a part out thread going soon:

What's your opinion of how the two drive compared to each other? Other than speed, is the handling and overall drive much improved with the 135i? I am trying to decide between an e90 335i and 135i and am wondering if the loss in practicality with the 1 series is worth it.

Thanks guys!

The E90 was an xi so its hard to compare the AWD to the RWD 1 in terms of ride quality and handling.

Before I picked up the 135i I was looking for an e92 335i exclusively because I never really liked the 1 series....until I drove one haha. After test driving the 1 I was sold.

So I highly suggest test driving both, back to back if possible for the best comparison before you pull the trigger.

low end torque is very addicting! Have fun with your new ride, man.

Congrats! I made the same move to the 135. The stock ride is very harsh so spend some money on your suspension mods first b/c other than the room/space difference that is the only negative comparing the 135 to the 328. Check my garage for some ideas re: suspension. GL and happy driving
